Patrick Bizzaro
Patrick Bizzaro was born in North Tonawanda NY, a suburb of Buffalo, in
1947 and is the author of twenty-four books, including eight books and
chapbooks of poetry, as well as numerous poems published in magazines
and journals. His latest collections are Fear of the Coming Drought, (Mt.
Olive Press, 2001) and Every Insomniac Has A Story to Tell, (independent
press, 2004). He has been awarded the Madeline Sadin Award from New
York Quarterly and the Four Quarters Poetry Prize. His criticism includes
two books on the work of Fred Chappell, Dream Garden (LSU Press,
1997), and More Lights Than One (LSU Press, 2004), and his pedagogical
work includes Responding To Student Poems: Applications of Critical
Theory (NCTE, 1993).
