Peter L. McNamara taught for many years at UNC-Chapel Hill and is currently an adjunct professor at St. Andrews College. He has published three collections of poetry, most recently, like a perhaps hand in 2002. His poems have appeared in numerous journals, including The Texas Review, Cairn, and American Poets & Poetry. In addition to poetry, he has written choral lyrics and an opera libretto for East River Bridge, which was produced in New York for the Brooklyn Bridge Centennial celebration.
