Joy Harjo is a member of the Creek (Muscogee) tribe of Oklahoma. She is on the Board of the National Association of Third World Writers. Her books include What Moon Drove Me To This, She Had Some Horses, In Mad Love and War, and The Woman Who Fell From the Sky. She lives in Albuquerque, NM.
