D. James Smith is a novelist and poet, whose books include My Brother’s Passion (2004), Fast Company (1999), and Prayers For The Dead (1995). He is the recipient of an NEA Fellowship and his poems have been published in The Amherst Review, Blue Mesa, Confluence, Quarterly West, and The New Orleans Review, among others.
