Celeste Doaks

Celeste Doaks is the recipient of the 2009 Academy of American Poets
Graduate Prize. Her work has appeared in The Village Voice, Time Out
New York, and Quarterly Black Book Review. In her adopted home of
Brooklyn, NY, the Midwestern native founded the Speakeasy reading
series. She is now an M.F.A. candidate at NC State University.
