Eavan Boland

was born in Dublin in 1944 and lives there with her husband and two daughters. She has published seven volumes of poetry; her poems have appeared in such magazines as The New Yorker, The Atlantic, Kenyon , and American Poetry Review. She has taught at Trinity College, University College, and Bowdoin College. Her book of essays, Object Lessons, was published in 1995 by W. W. Norton.
